Perhaps Grant Stewart wouldn’t allow us to say it but he is a true master of the tenor saxophone. The Canadian-born New York stalwart has been heard next to greats like Peter Bernstein, Brad Mehldau, and Clark Terry and performs regularly internationally. Josh Evans is at the forefront of modern trumpet playing. A favorite soloist in bands such as Christian McBride, Charles Tolliver, and “Ku-umba” Frank Lacy, Evans sound is unique and exciting.
